2019 Judgments Convention enters into force for Montenegro
Development summary
According to the HCCH’s official notice, the Convention of 2 July 2019 on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Civil or Commercial Matters entered into force for Montenegro on 1 March 2026, following Montenegro’s deposit of its instrument of ratification on 21 February 2025. The Convention is now binding for Montenegro in the field of the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments.
