25th Anniversary of the International Hague Network of Judges
Development summary
To mark the 25th anniversary of the International Hague Network of Judges, HCCH brought together Network members from more than 30 jurisdictions in The Hague on 14 October 2023. The meeting took place alongside the Special Commission meeting on the practical operation of the 1980 Child Abduction and 1996 Child Protection Conventions.
Established in 1998, the Network facilitates international co-operation and communication between judges concerning the cross-border protection of children. The gathering therefore highlighted the Network’s continuing role in supporting judicial co-ordination across jurisdictions.
