Ibrahim Doğan Takavut’s article of 30 June 2025 assesses the European Law Institute Principles on the use of digital assets as security from a private international law perspective. It examines the conflict-of-laws rules in those Principles for determining the applicable law to the creation of security rights over digital assets and their effectiveness against third parties, and considers the problems that arise under the existing Turkish conflict-of-laws rules together with the solutions the Principles propose.
