Development summary
The article addresses the interaction between European Union copyright law, the AI Act and private international law. It examines how Rome II and Brussels I bis apply in cross-border infringement disputes, as well as the legal status of the TDM “opt-out” mechanism, and notes the uncertainty created by the territoriality principle for AI developers operating outside the EU.
