Development summary
A meeting of International Hague Network Judges and Central Authorities on international child abduction was held in Mexico from 23 to 25 February 2011. It considered how the countries represented could improve the operation of the applicable cross-border child-abduction arrangements.
The discussions focused on the Hague Convention of 25 October 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction and the Montevideo Convention of 15 July 1989 on the International Return of Children. The meeting also aimed to provide information on the implementation of those conventions.
