Republic of Moldova becomes the 81st Member of the Hague Conference
Development summary
On 16 March 2016, during the meeting of the Council on General Affairs and Policy of the Hague Conference on Private International Law, the Republic of Moldova deposited its instrument of acceptance of the Statute and became the Organisation’s 81st Member. At the same meeting, a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands submitted the formal proposal to admit the Republic of Kazakhstan, opening a six-month period for existing Members to vote until 16 September 2016.
