Second Working Meeting of the Experts’ Group on Central Bank Digital Currencies

Development summary

The HCCH Experts’ Group on Central Bank Digital Currencies held its second working meeting online from 12 to 14 November 2024, hosted by the Permanent Bureau in The Hague. The meeting brought together 25 delegates and other experts, representing 10 HCCH Members and 3 Observers, together with members of the HCCH Permanent Bureau. Pursuant to its mandate, the Group made further progress on the applicable-law and jurisdiction issues raised by the cross-border use and transfer of CBDCs.
