Third meeting of the Experts’ Group on Carbon Markets

Development summary

The Experts’ Group on Carbon Markets held its third meeting in hybrid format from 2 to 4 December 2025. More than 50 registered delegates and other experts, representing 19 HCCH Members and seven Observers, joined members of the Permanent Bureau to advance the Group’s work on private international law issues arising from carbon markets; the initial focus was the possible inclusion of an applicable-law provision in the draft UNIDROIT Principles.
