The twenty-first edi­tion of Vahit Doğan’s Turk­ish Na­tion­al­ity Law was pub­lished by Yetkin Yayin­lari in Septem­ber 2026. The pre­face high­lights the rules al­low­ing for­eign­ers qual­i­fy­ing as skilled work­ers to ac­quire Turk­ish cit­izen­ship through a fa­cil­it­ated route, and the broadened ex­cep­tion­al route for for­eign in­vestors.

The author notes that, des­pite stat­utory amend­ments on the decision-making au­thor­ity fol­low­ing the con­sti­tu­tion­al amend­ment of 16 April 2017, sec­ond­ary le­gis­la­tion has not yet been aligned, and that cer­tain re­pealed stat­utory pro­vi­sions remain in the im­ple­ment­ing reg­u­la­tion. This edi­tion adds recent Coun­cil of State de­cisions, re­gion­al ap­pel­late court de­cisions, com­par­at­ive rules on the sub­sequent ac­quis­i­tion of na­tion­al­ity and multiple-choice ques­tions for the Turk­ish legal pro­fes­sions en­trance ex­am­in­a­tion.
